Packing it up!

The time is drawing near. My family and I are moving and this means I only have a few classes left to teach at my yoga home, Yoga Squared in Old Town Tustin. This place has come to mean so much to me, it’s going to be hard to let this go.

I have made life changes at this place, made friends and found people who I consider to be part of my support system. Please join me for one of my final classes. I’ll miss everything about this place and the people who make it what it is.

  • Thursday, February 15th at 5:00 for a Soulful Vinyasa

  • Friday, February 16th at 5:0pm for YinYasa Class

  • Saturday, February 17 at 7:00am for a Soulful Vinyasa Class 

  • Saturday, February 24th at 7:00am for my final Soulful Vinyasa Class

Be prepared for laughter, tears and joy in these last classes.

Holiday Food Drive

Here’s another simple way to give back, let’s start by giving back within our own community! Yoga Squared is hosting a Food Drive to benefit the Orange County Rescue Mission.

Before heading out to your next yoga class – reach into your pantry and grab a box of pasta, a package of rice or a can of beans or you can pick up something up during your next grocery trip.

Our Food Drive is taking place from today, Friday, December 15, 2017 through Friday, December 22, 2017. Bring your food donations to Yoga Squared located at 195 El Camino Real #201, Tustin, CA 92780.

We are located right above El Camino Cafe on the 2nd Floor. Our stairwell/elevator entrance is located on 2nd Street in the driveway to the right of the El Camino Cafe.

Donations can be dropped off inside our studio or on our patio. All donations will be picked up on the afternoon of Friday, December 22, 2017 and will be delivered to the OC Rescue Mission. Thank you so much for help, we appreciate you! Please remember any little bit helps.

9 Health Benefits of Yoga

Yoga, is amazing! I know, you may think I am a bit biased but I have benefited greatly from my Yoga practice, I feel calmer, stronger, healthier and more energetic. In addition to the physical benefits, the connection of mind, body and soul are indescribable.

If you’re not looking to go that deep, that’s ok. If you’re simply looking for a form of exercise, that’s easy on the body and helps you get healthier – Yoga is it!

There are so many health benefits and I simply have not found another form of exercise that can compare to the overall benefits of a regular Yoga practice.

Studies have shown that a regular Yoga practice helps to lower your blood sugar levels, lowers LDL levels (but cholesterol), boosts HDL levels (good cholesterol), helps with blood circulation, lessens pain and stress and increases energy levels.

You don’t have to stand on your head or fold up like a pretzel to do Yoga and it’s never to late to begin your Yoga practice. There is a yoga class to meet everyones fitness level and needs.  Come out and try one of my classes or if you’re not in the area, look for a studio near you.
