The Great Park will host a Family Bucket Garden on Saturday, July 11, 2015. This family oriented, hands on gardening workshop will get the whole family growing great food. Participate in a short talk on how to grow good food in containers, followed by attendees planting a ‘bucket garden’ to take home.
Come learn everything you need to know about sustainable home gardening practices. The Garden Workshop series will feature various topics, including seasonal planting, tree health and care and succulents. Workshops are led by the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardeners of Orange County.
Materials will be available for first 30 families; one bucket per family.

On Saturday, August 9th, the Great Park will host a FREE 60 minute lecture. Topic: Habits For A More Balanced Life

This series will provide the knowledge and tools to help you reassess what’s important, rebalance your priorities, and regain control over the ever increasing demands of your busy life. Join us for what is sure to be an enlightening and engaging series designed to help you obtain the benefits and rewards of mindful living.
