Halloween Spooktacular & Moonlight Movie

FREE Halloween Fun and a Harry Potter movie, this sounds like a fun evening! Lantern Bay Park will host Halloween Spooktacular & Moonlight Movie on Friday, Otober 24, 2014 from 4:30 – 9:00 p.m.

HalloweenFlyer2014-page-001Join in the fun from 4:30 -6:30 pm for pre-movie activities such as: carnival games, costume parade, cupcake decoration, a pumpkin decorating contest and a marionette show.

The Moonlight Movie will begin begin at 6:30, the feature film is  Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Star Wars Reads Day

Star Wars Reads Day is an international event that celebrates reading and Star Wars. It was launched in 2012 by Lucasfilm and its publishing partners — Abrams, Chronicle Books, Dark Horse, Del Rey, DK Publishing, Klutz, Random House Audio, Scholastic, and Workman Publishing. Last year, Quirk Books joined the fun, Disney Book Group is also participating  this year

There are Star Wras Reads events being held at Barnes & Noble and libaries through out the country- for more information visit Starwars.com or follow hashtag #StarWarsReads

Mesa Verde Library – Star Wars Reading Day – Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.

Come to celebrate Star Wars Reads Day, an international event that promotes reading and all things Star Wars! There will be Jedi trivia games (with prizes), a special Padawan storytime, Eewok crafts, and an exciting choreographed lightsaber action sequence (totally non-lethal) performed by the Saber Guild dressed in full Jedi gear. Free family event, all ages welcome.

Orange County Children’s Book Festival

The 11the annual Orange County Children’s Book Festival attendance is FREE to the public!

There’s something for children of all ages at the Orange County Children’s Book Festival.  You’ll find our numerous book and educational vendors offering the latest in services and new ideas.

A favorite year after year is the children craft corner where kids make their own book markers, visors and other ‘make it take it’ keepsake items.

There’s also family fun activities such as face painting, crazy hair styling, and animal petting area, musicians, dancers, balloons, readings, drawings and much more.

Sizzlin Summer Concerts Tonight

Grab your lawn chairs, picnic baskets and dancing shoes for a fun-filled and free evening of music in the park featuring Kelly Rae Band (Country) on Sunday, August 24th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Mike Ward Community Park – Woodbridge. Gourmet food trucks will be onsite with proceeds benefitting nonprofit organizations.

Carbon Canyon Regional Park Movie Night

Come to Carbon Canyon Regional Park to enjoy a movie under the night sky on Friday, August 22, 2014.

The feature presentation is Disney/Pixar’s movie Toy Story 3.

There will be free popcorn and other refreshments will be available for purchase.

  • Parking will be free after 6:30pm. Come early and get a front row seat! The movie will begin promptly at 8pm.
