Day 11 of “Mindful March”
When someone is speaking, take a full breath before you reply.
Have you ever had a conversation with someone where you can clearly see that that have already formed their reply before you’re done with your sentence?
Be mindful. Let them speak, take a full breath prior to forming your reply. It makes a huge difference in the overall conversation and the vibration that conversation carries.
Day 9 of “Mindful March”
Without doing anything else, sit back, close your eyes and “Listen to a piece of music“.
I’ve attached a song by James Hood entitled Tapestry. This song has so many rhythmic textures and layers, sit back and enjoy these next 4 minutes.
That’s it, today’s assignment is just to listen.
“James Hood is renowned as a vital and versatile musical pioneer. His lengthy and varied musical resume includes playing drums in The Pretenders, an ongoing two-decades-plus run as mastermind of the visionary ambient/electronica act Moodswings and an expansive array of production and soundtrack projects.” – https://www.jameshood.com/
Day 8 of “Mindful March”
“Look Around” and find three things you find unusual or pleasant.
Sometimes the things you find to be pleasant can also be the most unusual.
Day 7 of “Mindful March”
Listen to how you speak to yourself, try and use kind words. Have you noticed the way you speak to the people you love, your friends, your kids?Try to use the same gentle, forgiving and encouraging words with yourself today.
Sometimes we are harder on ourselves than anyone else we deal with. Your assignment for today is to “Speak kindly to yourself”.
Day 5 of “Mindful March”
Appreciate the taste, texture and smell of your food. At one of your meals today or even just a snack “Eat Mindfully”. Take your time to enjoy every bit, every smell, every texture.
