I was excited to see that in addition to Columbia Memorial Space Center hosting their monthly “Young Explorers Academy” they are now also hosting Junior Explorers Academy!
Junior Explorers Academy is a monthly workshop for children aged 6-8. Different science topics will be covered each month, providing children with opportunities to explore and experiment through hands-on activities that will stimulate their natural curiosity of the world around them.
This months topic is “How the Solar System Began”. Come journey back to a time completely unimaginable, as they introduce the formation of our solar system from clouds of gas and dust creating nebulas, a first-hand introduction of the coming together of matter known as accretion, and finishing off with a homemade comet.
