Join over a millions of people at Annual Newport Beach Christmas boat Parade as beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes sail along the harbor.
The 106th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade will set the harbor ablaze for five consecutive nights, beginning Wednesday, December 17 and ending Sunday, December 21, 2014. The parade starts off Bay Island at 6:30 pm and finishes at the same site at approximately 9:00 pm each evening.
Many of the boats will be richly decorated with animated Christmas scenes accompanied by music and costumed carolers. Some boat owners in the past have spent over $50,000 to decorate their vessels for the event. The Christmas floats will wind their way some 14 miles around the harbor to give viewers in restaurants, yacht clubs, on public beaches, and in private homes an incredible sight that has delighted millions of people for a century.
The Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, has been hailed as “one of the top ten holiday happenings in the nation” by the New York Times.

Santa arrives in Laguna Beach tonight for the annual Hospitality Night, a fun-filled evening that takes place tonight, Friday, December 5, 2014 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Enjoy Snow, Santa and fun activities. U.S. Bank is hosting FREE Ice Skating and FREE Ice Skate rentals. The rink will be set up for tomorrow evening only. The Ice Skating rink will be located at the U.S. Bank parking lot.
Some of the performers will include Bell Choir & Anneliese’s School Choir. There will also be live entertainment, dancing, a live nativity scene and a FREE viewing of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at theS outh Coast Movie theater at 9:15 pm.
The highlight of the evening will be Santa’s arrival at City Hall at 6:00 pm.
Street closures will begin at 3:30 pm at Forest Avenue. The trolley will be operating from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm from Downtown North & South.

The 40th Annual Boat Parade of Lights at Dana Point ”FantaSEA Holiday” takes place on Friday, December 5, Saturday, December 6, Friday, December 12 & Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 7:30pm at the Water’s Edge.
Boaters from all around Orange County decorate their boats for the awards of Judges Choice, Best Theme, Best Use of Lights, Best Animation, Most Colorful, Most Original, Best Sailboat, Best Powerboat and the Perpetual Trophy.
You can view the parade free from anywhere in the Harbor while enjoying the lights and sounds of IlluminOcean – 40 Nights of Lights or make reservations at one of the restaurants to view it from a cozy and warm spot.

San Diego’s Balboa Park celebrates December Nights, the nation’s premier holiday festival, will take place for the 37th consecutive year on December 5 & 6, 2014.
On Friday, December 5 from 3:00 -11:00 pm and Saturday, December 6 from noon – 11:00 pm. the event brings families and friends together to spread holiday joy, learn more about the cultural value of Balboa Park and kick-off the “most wonderful time of the year.”
Participating Balboa Park museums open their doors free of charge from 5-9 pm both evenings and more than 350,000 visitors are expected to experience the joy of San Diego’s largest free community festival.
